A BRAND FOR THE CLOTHES I WANT TO WEAR, AND THAT SUIT ME

If I had never gone into the clothing business, I might still be living in jeans and a white T-shirt, or in nothing but black. I'm 179cm tall, and 177SALON is the brand I started because I wanted to make clothes I'd actually want to wear, clothes that suited me. I still handle all of it myself, from planning to running the shop.

The pants I released the year after I launched are now in their seventh year and still selling steadily. Whenever a wedding or an outside event comes up, I stand in front of the closet going back and forth for ages, and every single time I end up in these pants. The day I posted a photo of them, the first line of the caption read 'No color, No stress.'

Over the summer I wore 177SALON from top to bottom for photos, and they came out so much better than I expected that I ended up recommending the spot for pictures.

The woman who might have spent her life in jeans and a white T-shirt now reaches for clothes she made with her own hands whenever there's an event.
